Shifting Website Hosting to .NET Framework 4 and SQL Server 2008 RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello Microsoft Experts,

This is my very first post in the MSDN Forums, and I have a concern regarding the .NET Framework web-hosting.

I have a website which is already hosted in Windows Server 2003 OS and configured with .NET Framework 3/3.5. My hosting company is moving out to Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework 4, and I guess I will need to follow them (actually follow the technology) and do some modifications to my website in order to function normally with .NET 4 and SQL Server 2008. The question is: do you think this website shifting from .NET Framework 3/3.5 with SQL Server 2005 to the new platforms (.NET 4 & SQL Server 2008) is going to be a headache? How bad?

Hope to luanch a useful discussion.

    Thank you.

  • Where is question about the MSDN library? I guess you need to see some software designers instead?
