Unable to install latest Windows 10 SDK RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to install Windows 10 SDK version 10.0.14393.0 from installer I got from this official site.

But oddly enough, the installer always stops at 30-31%, displaying this error:

Can someone please explain what did I do wrong? Here's the log the installer produced.

  • It's not clear from the log, but these seem important to indicate your system is either corrupt or has some other basic issue:

[2DAC:2320][2016-08-11T18:41:14]i360: Creating a system restore point.
[2DAC:2320][2016-08-11T18:41:14]w363: Could not create system restore point, error: 0x80070422. Continuing...

The HRESULT indicates  ERROR_SERVICE_DISABLED which means basic system services are disabled on our system.

and a lot of errors like so your file system or download is corrupt:

    [2DAC:4164][2016-08-11T18:45:09]e000: Error 0x80091007: Hash mismatch for path: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\.unverified\package_WinRTIntellisenseIoTenus_x86_en_us, expected: 3C9087483D43D262740BC9F51266AED09FD27337, actual: E8BDFC55AAB082F94EE55A6F44616B00B01424FD

  • I'm sorry I have just read your reply.

Thank you for your explanation, but I'm really looking for a solution here. I haven't been able to install the latest SDK since this post.

I got this Windows from DreamSpark student account so I'm almost certain that my Windows is genuine. Can you elaborate what might be corrupted? I've run "chkdsk /f" twice and it's still happening. I really do not want to reinstall Windows.
