DeviceInformation Vs PnpObject

    Question

  • The DeviceInformation class in the Windows.Devices.Enumeration provide the same information as the PnpObject in the Windows.Devices.Enumeration.PnP namespace provides. Both can be used to enumerate the devices and get the device information. Which is more reliable? Should I use PnpObject for plug and play devices only?

    The DeviceInforamtion can get all device information but the PnpObject can only get pnp device inforamtion. You can refer to the link to get more information about DeviceInforamtion and PnpObject and the different things between them:
