I am running 2 identical Nexus 7 tablets; one was upgraded to Android 4.3 the other is running 4.2.1 and can no longer debug with Visual Studio 2012 on the one upgraded to 4.3 (the other is still fine). The app seems to load on the tablet but Visual Studio throws an exception almost immediately before showing the first layout.

@BorisS Try to use an avd for the moment so you can do something to prepare at least.

Hi, There is an ETA for this patch? At least for a beta release?

I just fell foul of this bug too last night - Updated my Nexus 7 to the latest Android version as prompted by the Nexus - and now I can't debug using Xamarin!!

Can we have an ETA of a patch - will I need to switch to the Alpha or Beta channel to get it?

    Thanks

Our app does not run at all on Android 4.3. We have clients who have already upgraded and can't go back. We are under a lot of pressure to provide a fix ASAP.

Could you please give me an ETA for this patch so I know what to tell them.

We also are having issues with our app in android 4.3 but we can not debug. When will there be an update that fixes this issue?

Having the same issue as everyone else, we have clients upgraded to the latest version who can't use our app.

Any word on the ETA of the patch would be appreciated. Thanks.

Any updates? Delayed purchasing an Android license today, when things stopped working after the 4.3 update rolled out to all my devices.

Same problem here on Nexus 7. My app is working fine under Android 4.3, I just can't debug it with Xamarin.Android 4.6.8.

Don't blame Xamarin, blame Google for not offering a pre-release beta to developers like Apple.

Updating via the latest installer didn't do the trick.... anyone?

Figured it out... have to do it in Xamarin Studio... go Help -> Check of Updates and switch channel to Beta. There's probably a way to do it through VS2012 as well, because the update dialog came up after the update... but this worked for me.
