  • Question

  • 1), We know we can capture the hang dump by the tool procdump.

    C:\>procdump -h hang.exe hungwindow.dmp

From the following technet article, we know the condition for generate the dump:"Write dump if process has a hung window (does not respond to window messages for at least 5 seconds)."

    First question:

1.1,)If the process does not respond to window messages for less than 5 seconds ,such as 4 seconds, does it mean we can't capture the dump by procdump ?

1.2, how to capture a hang dump if it just not respond  for 4,or 3 seconds by proddump?

    2,)Capture by ADPlus

For example  by capture the dump by ADPlus

    ADPlus -hang -pn myapp.exe

    Second question:

When the ADPlus  generate the dump? the myapp.exejust not respond for 5 s, 4s ,or others?

    3,)Last question,

If there is a tool can capture the dump with not response for special time?Such as I want to capture the dump when the process myapp.exe not response with XX seconds(I can specify the seconds by myself as maybe my process just hang for 3 seconds)

ToolName -hang -pn myapp.exe with XXX seconds

    Thank you in Advanced.
