    hi,

can you use DAL / BLL for user-creation? and is it a good way to do it?

instead of using the form view. How else can you do from the code-behind if you want the function as a form view? -and through the DAL / BLL?

-and how can you call such. a repeater control from code behind. when using the DAL / BLL?

    thanks! ;-)

Using DAL/BLL allows a structured approach to extend any functionality.

Basically control events wouldn't change but you would call a specific class method (in the data layer) to process data (either ADO.NET or other custom types/business objects to transport the data itself) and bind the repeater or any other controls to such data objects returned from the data layer.

You could use the ObjectDataSource (ODS) which would use talk to these layers in turn. IF you would like to use a good reference on working with the ODS refer here: http://www.manuelabadia.com/blog/PermaLink,guid,f002752d-1258-475d-9ec0-eee3bd98d0a4.aspx

and on very good reference on building layered applications go here: http://imar.spaanjaars.com/QuickDocId.aspx?quickdoc=416
