    Question

  • I know you can easily google the question but i couldn´t find an easy solution for me (c# and VB):

    I have the error: The package identity associated with this update doesn't match what's in the uploaded package: 4fa6d98a-5f36-4943-8d3e-62a3534c4ead

    So now my questions:

    Where can i find the package identity? Is it the same like product identity? Where can i look up the right package identity which i need, need i to debug the project to save the changes?

    It would be very great if you could post me screenshots ;)

  • Hi Matthias,

    Package Identity can be found in project manifest, look at the figure below:

    I'm not sure what do you mean by product identity, you mean Visual Studio product identity? No need actually.

    Anyway, I move your question to Publish forum for a better support.
