hijack ISR RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi

In this article, it mentions "Microsoft recommends that DPCs should not run longer than 100 microseconds and ISRs should not run longer than 25 microseconds."

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff545764%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

What will happen if i hijack the ISR to do a long task e.g 10ms?

I did it bu the windows hang up.

How to avoid this hang up.

    Thanks

  • Why do you think you need this?  What are you trying to do, that should take 10ms?
