Azure DFS Namespace as a Service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to setup DFS Namspace as a service in Azure. We have an old legacy domain that we want to get rid of, but we need to keep the DFS Namespace. We are looking at spinning up a couple of DC' using IAAS to just host the namespaces. But is there anyway we can have a DFS Namespace hosted in the cloud (without AADS) that will act as a normal namespace server?

  • I'm not aware of DFS service being provided as a service - for starters, pls note that DFS does require AD

  • Thanks, that is what i thought. I thought there MIGHT have been a chance it could be implemented using ADDS...
