  • Has anyone tried to run a Microsoft Surface 2 Windows RT app (already compiled existing RT app from a couple of years ago) on a RPi on Windows IoT?

  • Hi mjmeans,

While RT devices did target ARM chipsets you would likely need to port the app to UWP and check API availability as aluded to by Cyberh0me.

  • I was wondering about that because UWP API is essentially a superset of RT API.

  • UWP was first introduced with Windows 10 and older metro style apps need modifications to migrate to UWP

  • ...and UWP on IoT Core offers a smaller subset as it does not include a shell.
