  • Question

  • Im interested in MCSE: Data Platform.

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/mcse-sql-data-platform.aspx#fbid=bb3p2hU6A-W

    The upgrade path is

Transition Your MCTS on SQL Server 2008 to MCSA: SQL Server 2012, Part 1
    457

Transition Your MCTS on SQL Server 2008 to MCSA: SQL Server 2012, Part 2
    458

Transition Your MCITP: Database Administrator 2008 or MCITP: Database Developer 2008 to MCSE: Data Platform
    459

I have the MCTS prre requisites so I can take 457 and 458. I do not have the MCITP.

On the same webpage I see that if I am not upgrading I can take the following exams to earn the qualification: 461,462,463,464,465

It appears that taking 457 and 458 and equivalent to taking 461,462,463

So my question is can I get MCSE Data Platform by taking 457,458,464,465?

As you mentioned that you already acquire MCTS, then you can upgrade it with 457 and 458 to get MCSA. Then you can take 464,465 to get MCSE.
