SWIFTNet Banking integration RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I want to integrate payment files from our ERP to a Bank via SWIFTNet . I also want to download SEPA payment reject files (urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:camt.054.001.02) from the bank via SWIFTNet. I do not have prior knowledge of SWIFT Banking integration.

I have installed SWIFT Accelerator for BizTalk 2016. Also installed FILEACT and INTERACT adapters. But i am not sure of the right solution. Can you please point to a good reference article or describe how this can be achieved in BizTalk 2016 in terms of BizTalk artifacts that one would need to develop for this.

Is this also possible to implement on Azure integration.

    Regards,

    Ujjwal

  • Hello Ujjwal,

Did you have a look at the official Microsoft documentations over here?

  • Hi Leon,

Thanks for sharing the helpful links. I will go through them. Would be great if you could help me with the below questions.

Differences between FILEACT and INTERACT. Documenation appears to be very similar.
Which ones to use for SEPA files (urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:camt.054.001.02)

    Regards,

  • You’ll find the differences in the documentation that I’ve linked, you’ll also find it in the SWIFT documentation.

    InterAct
InterAct enables the exchange of messages formatted with the new XML- based SWIFT MX standards. SWIFTNet offers increased flexibility in the way of working: in addition to store-and-forward messaging, it also supports real-time messaging, and real-time query-and- response. InterAct is the service to use in the business areas for which the use of the new XML-based MX standards is more advantageous.
Both FIN and InterAct enable the exchange of messages on a message- per-message basis, and support the exchange of messages using proprietary formats in the context of market infrastructures.
    File transfer with FileAct

    FileAct

FileAct enables the transfer of files in a secure and reliable manner. It is most efficient when used to transfer large batches of messages, such as bulk payment files, very large reports, or operational data.

  • Hi Leon,

I read from the below link that the FILEACT and INTERACT adapters are out of product support.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4001737/products-reaching-end-of-support-for-2017

Should I choose an alternative approach for this. Please suggest a pattern ( if i have to not use these adapters ) to achieve this integration (with or without BizTalk). I have read through the documentation of the adapters and also the documentation on SWIFT.

    Regards,

    Ujjwal

  • It appears indeed that the integration between Biztalk snd SWIFT is no longer supported (I used this for a few years some years ago).

You would be better off checking with SWIFT directly what the possibilities are, you’ll also find some information here:

    https://www.swift.com/our-solutions/interfaces-and-integration/alliance-access

You might have to get an Alliance Access to fulfill your needs.
