Command Line Arguments RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can anyone please tell me how to get a list of command lines from a program. I already know how to pass arguments to a program. But what I would like to know how to do is obtain a list of command lines for a specific program. For example, I would like to figure out all the command lines for notpad.exe. Like how to "Open", "Save" "Copy" or "Paste". Any help would be appreciated.

  • At the command prompt try typing the program name followed by one of the following;

    If none of these work you have to consult the application's documentation.

    None of these will work with notepad.exe, I think the only argument it takes is a file path. There doesn't appear to be any info about cl args in the help file either.
