  • You have to make couple of configuration changes in order to make the documents visible to all users after the document approval.

    1. Enable Draft Item security on you SharePoint Document library. You can do this in document library advanced settings.

    2. Enable Content approval on your document library. If you enable this setting, only users who upload/create the documents and approver only can see these documents until the document is approved.

    3. Create a new Approval Workflow and associate the approval workflow with content approval. You can find this setting in the end of the workflow configurations on workflow settings page.

    4. Make sure your document approver has "Approver" access to the document library/site.

    Thanks!

  • It is fairly simple.  This is all you should need to do

If you are looking to design your own that is not to hard either but it sounds like the out of the box will suit you fine
