  • Question

  • I have set up port #3389 and use my VM as a remote desktop for deploying my MS access application. Which is for my company internal uses, I have never disclose the ip address. However there is some funny attempts trying to logon to my remote desktop service. it keeps trying everyday for at least 8 hours. any suggestion to deal with these funny attempts
    thanks in advance

  • Hi,

Can you capture the IP address from where the attempts are coming and verify who the IP belongs to? How do you know that there are attempts being made?

If you confirm there is something fishy about the attempts, you can block these IP's using firewall. I'm not sure about the best practices here, but for most part, I believe you should be able to use the same techniques you use with in your on-premise machines.

    Thanks,

    Hari
