  • WinJs does not work like a web application - web apps are served up by a server, over http, and have postback mechanism to keep state.  ASP.NET controls do not work in WinJS apps.

On the other hand, WinJS apps run natively on the local machine, but use HTML, JS, and CSS to present content.

You can write an app that looks just like your web app, but since the controls aren't the same, you'll have to write your own app for controls that match.

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.
