When try to add data models to an project like ado entity data model. No Data Option to choose the model.

Visual studio Community 2017.

Hi,

I didn't see at first glance that it's included in that version: https://www.visualstudio.com/vs/compare/. Are you looking for specific parts? As I recall 2017 didn't provide anymore the EF database first tooling anymore or Linq To Sql.

It was there on early version but now its not there

Hi Manu Samuel,

In Visual studio 2017 'Entity Framework 6 Tools' does not get installed by default.

So you can try to go to Control panel-> Programs -> Programs and Features-> Uninstall or change program.

Find Visual Studio setup and click on change.

Check 'Entity Framework 6 Tools'

Click on modify and again try to use it.
