TFS Rest API : Get a team's iterations RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I can view the Team's Iterations through the browser at :

    http://tfs:8080/tfs/Adlib/Project1/_admin/_iterations

But using the Rest API, nothing is returned. Count is zero and value is null.

    Rest API request is :

    http://tfs:8080/tfs/Adlib/Project1/_apis/work/TeamSettings/Iterations?api-version=v2.0-preview

Is this an issue with the API? Or an issue with how our iterations are set up?

  • hi Dave,

    in TFS 2017.3 it works.

What TFS version are you using ?

and have you mapped iterations in your team ?

according to the documentation  REST API Iterations - Get a team's iterations you may need to add the team in the URL.

  • Adding the Team name still yields the same results. Count: 0 Value : NULL.

I noticed in the API page, the name of the API is Work (Agile). Does this only work with Agile and not Scrum?

  • maybe.

but you can test it yourself if you create a new TFS collection with Scrum projects and try to get iterations via REST API.
