  • It looks like you want a parent-child hierarchy.  In your particular case, you should create a table, add a table group, and set the following properties on that table group:

    Group expression:  =Fields!AccountName.Value
    Parent expression: =Fields!SubGroup.Value

  • Thanks for your reply. I tried with your solution. It shows like this,

    Current Assets

    pettty cash

    Current Assets

    Bank Brok Account

    Current Assets

    Bank Current Account 1

    ...

    Current Assets

    Shares

    Current Assets

    Properties

    ...

    Shares

    Shares-1

    Shares

    Shares-2

    ...

    Properties

    Properties-1

    Properties

    Properties-2

    ....

I want to show like this,

    Current Assets
            Shares
                Shares-1
                Shares-2
                ...

            Properties
                Properties-1
                Properties-2
                ...

            Petty Cash
            Bank Brok Account
            Bank Current Account 1
            ...

        Fixes Asset
            F/A-1
            ...
        Investments
            Investment-1
            Investment-2

    Help me on this.

    Thanks.

  • If you created the table group correctly per my instructions, you should then be able to use the Level() function to get dynamic padding so that it looks visually like a parent-child hierarchy as well.

You may want to check out the sample report (although based on an Analysis Services query) and read the following blog posting: http://blogs.msdn.com/robertbruckner/archive/2008/10/14/using-analysis-services-parent-child-hierarchies-in-reports.aspx - it explains this in more details.
