  • Hi Sankalp,

According your error description: "The acquisition of the developer license failed. The error was: The RPC server is unavailable. Result code 0xC0020017". You might meet the issue with RPC server.

There is a article for RPC server unavailable issue: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4494.windows-server-troubleshooting-the-rpc-server-is-unavailable.aspx#RPC_Quick_Fixes.

Common causes of RPC errors include:

    • Errors resolving a DNS or NetBIOS name.
    • The RPC service or related services may not be running.
    • Problems with network connectivity.
    • File and printer sharing is not enabled.

I'm not sure if you have some proxy setting or VPN or some other Internet setting, try to remove them and acquire your developer license again to see whether it works. Or you could follow the steps which suggested by the article.

    Best Regards,
