Trying to get a footer disply like I want it

I have a footer I'm using that has a combination of text and hyperlinks.  I have one page on my site that I turn the footer OFF on.

I'm using a table in my footer - used to use two tables to get two columns but I had trouble positioning my hyperlinks so I went to a single table and space things with &nbsp and <br />....probably not the best way to do things.  My problem is I want to position social media hyperlinks exactly on the footer.  I can do this with a position: & left,top but when I use a postion such as absolute or relative the image appears on the page that has the footer turned off - floating there in the middle of a display page.  What is the best way to construct a footer block that will 1) give me the ability to turn it off and 2) let me position text and images exactly where I want them?

I'll post the code but I already know it is probably horrible.

Put your footer content inside panel and then Add this in your footer page  on foote

If(Request.RawURL.ToString() == "FooterHiddenPage.aspx")
{
           Panel.visible = false;

I'll try that, thanks.  I don't have a separate page for my footer....it's on my Main.Master page.  Does that make a difference?
