Azure AD Application Proxy RRS feed

  • Does Azure keeps user password hash to authentication user when there is application proxy is in the picture ?

    When user type external URL to access on premise app then they presented to Azure sign in page so how azure send token to user's device If it does not know users password ?

    any thoughts ?

  • Azure AD application proxy leverages Azure AD for pre-authentication and also supports several other authentication methods to the on-premises applications.  When the user access the application through the endpoint user is directed to the Azure AD sign-in page and once sign in is successful Azure AD sends token to the Application proxy service, and Application proxy service retrieves

    Normally, the user authentication is done by the sign-on token from the user to the application proxy connector.  It is the Application proxy connector which manages the communication between the application proxy service in the cloud and on premises.
