Two authentication model for single wcf service RRS feed

  • just read this article https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/james_osbornes_blog/2011/11/04/2-auth-modes-on-1-endpoint-using-multiple-authentication-schemes-with-serviceauthorizationmanager/

    the main concept of th article was that it is possible to design a wcf service which may have multiple operation but few of them can be restricted with authentication and few can be access anonymously.

    so when we deploy wcf service to iis then do i need to enable two auth type called anonymous and basic and matter will be sorted?

    how to configure just guide me. thanks

    You need to enable two authentication in IIS.

    You could follow Open IIS->Select your application in IIS->Features View->Authentication->Set the Status as Enabled for corresponding authentication.
