WiFi-Turn off message RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi There,

I able to see the following message when I turn off the WiFi in my Windows Phone 8.1 (Preview for Developers)

"Keeping WiFi on can help save Mobile data and battery. You can choose when you want it to turn back on."

I would suggest the underlined word as 'off' (i.e. "Keeping WiFi off can ....").

Let me know if I have wrong statement.

  • Howdy Suriya,

The wording that is currently on the phone is correct. That is because it's trying to tell you to turn WiFi on to save Mobile data. If it were to say "off" then it would say turning WiFi off would save mobile data which is entirely incorrect.

I hope this information helps to address your issue. As always if you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reply to this post and we'll be happy to assist.
