In-house windows 8 application RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are planning to develop windows 8 applications for our in-house use as well as some of our select clients.

Is there a way for private enterprise installation of apps? Does the app need to be submitted to windows store in order for us to use it on our enterprise PCs?

My understanding is that all the metro apps must be submitted to windows store.

Thanks for your help in advance.

  • As of now side-loading is only possible on developer machines. if you want to distribute an enterprise app, it will still be a regular Store App.
