Test Steps with the same ID RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Yesterday afternoon a college or mine came to me and he told me that he found a Test Case with the same ID in it's Test Steps and this had as effect the crash of MTM. Here is the photo of the Test Case : http://postimg.org/image/w37zy24zt/

I made a small program to find how many Test Cases exist with the same problem and it returned 104 Test Cases.

So my questions now are, how is this even possible? Is there any way to fix this or we have to make new Test Cases?

    Thanks for your time.

  • Hi Spiros,

    Thanks for your post.

What’s the version of your TFS and What’s the version of your MTM(VS)?

Which user created these same ID steps in that 104 Test Case work items? One specific user or some users?

Please keep the MTM version match the TFS version, when edit TFS test case work item steps in MTM.

It seems that you need to create the new Test Cases.

For more information about MTM, you can post in MTM forum for the better response.
