Bing map V8 performace RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have developed one application in that we fetch data using web service and plot it on map.

When number of records are less then it works fine but when number of records more that 80K then map performance is not good. Map starts lagging. We also used clustering still it does not increase the performance.

Is there any way to improve performance.

    Waiting for your reply.

    Thanks!

  • If you reference the sample here:

and update it to 80k pins, it remains smooth at all zoom levels, so I agree the performance issue is likely in how you're loading your data, not a limitation of the map control.

  • Hi Balasaheb,

80K sets of location data sounds like a lot to push through the pipe before the map would be displayed, are you sure the map is the performance blocker?

I recommend you contact the Bing Maps Support Team and look into more performant ways to attack your use case.
