Xamarin.iOS & XCode 8.3: how to download provisioning profiles/signing identities? RRS feed

Below is the the Xcode 8.3 interface for managing developer accounts, provisioning profiles, etc.

In earlier versions of Xcode it looked like this:

I cant seem to figure out how to use Xcode to download new or updated provisioning profiles in a manner that Xamarin Studio (Mac) will pick up on.

I did quite a bit of searching but cant seem to figure out how to do this in Xcode 8.3. I also tried a few command line approaches but to no avail.

Does anyone know how to do this using either Xcode 8.3 or manual approach?

@fluxmatix select your Apple ID and then in the Team section select the team. Once you select the team the "View Details" button can be tapped to view the profiles like in your image.

Realized I didn't have Xcode 8.3 installed, checking for this as well. Will reply here if I find a way.

Looks like it was moved and they recommend having it managed automatically. Here's a post about the changes.

    Hello @DannyC

Do you know where do the provisioning profiles exist on the Mac? I tried

    ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning

But that folder doesn't exist on my Mac.

    Thanks!

@CodyRousseau I'm on Xcode 8.3.3 and Sierra 10.12.5. Wondering if the updates changed it to where they are located now on mine.

@DannyC I just finished updating, clicked "download all profiles", and attempted to go to ~Library/MobileDevices and the folder still does not exist. Do I contact apple about support for Xcode?

    Thanks!

Not sure @CodyRousseau. Have you checked the Apple Developer forums? If not also try Xamarin to see if they can point you in the right direction. It's not a Xamarin issue however they will be easier to reach than Apple.

@DannyC After going through my Mac, it turns out it was a separate "hidden" Library folder that was failing to be searched.
