Random Services getting HttpRequestTimedOutWithoutDetail errors RRS feed

  • Question

  • My silverlight application calls up many different WCF 4.0 services which work most of the time.

    However when it starts to get busy some of those services get a HttpRequestTimedOutWithoutDetail error

    Here's 2 examples.  I have 20 or so different services under 1 Site

    This is behavior in web.config--><serviceThrottling maxConcurrentCalls="2147483647" maxConcurrentSessions="2147483647"/>

    Any ideas.  I can provide a binding example also

  • Hi,

    I see that you have set the folloiwng in the comfigure file<serviceThrottling maxConcurrentCalls="2147483647" maxConcurrentSessions="2147483647"/> but it still throws HttpRequestTimedOutWithoutDetail error, so we should configure the timeout value in the config file as below:

    <basicHttpBinding>
            <binding name="BasicHttpBinding_IServices" closeTimeout="00:100:00" openTimeout="00:10:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" sendTimeout="00:10:00" maxBufferSize="5242880"
                  maxBufferPoolSize="524288" maxReceivedMessageSize="5242880" messageEncoding="Text" textEncoding="utf-8" transferMode="Buffered" useDefaultWebProxy="true">
              <readerQuotas maxDepth="32" maxStringContentLength="5242880" maxArrayLength="16384" maxBytesPerRead="4096" maxNameTableCharCount="16384" />
           </binding>
    </basicHttpBinding>

    If the above can not help, please try to enable the wcf or use the fiddler to find the cause.
