[When] will azure repos support git garbage collection RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our team recently force rewrote our history with
    git lfs migrate
, but our clone performance has not improved. We know, however, that on a freshly imported repo using LFS, there is a significant performance benefit.

According to  this 2017 stack overflow answer (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44236321/git-cleanup-garbage-collection-on-remote-vso-git-repository) and its referenced links, git's garbage collection features, which would help us here, weren't supported yet by TFS/Azure Repos, we have not been able to find any information regarding on whether it is supported, or if it's still on the backlog. Since it was indicated to be supported then, is that no longer the case?

Sorry if this is not the correct place to put this, I couldn't find an Azure Repos specific forum.

    Thank you.
