  • General discussion

  • Hi,
I was trying to install .NET 3.5 on my Dell desktop several time.

Please help me to recognize the problem.

    My System Configuration:
    1. OS: Vista Ultimate 64
    2. CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU   920 @ 2.67GHz

During installation I flowed next steps:
    1. I downloaded setup from Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and and run
    2. Accept terms, Install >
    3. On the next page I got nice message "Error" and Exit button.

New vslogs.cab is uploaded. Please take a look.

in the Application Log I got 2 records

  • Hi Cherven,

    Sorry for delay.

I found that you have opened a new thread for your issue. Thank you for your detail information. Let's begin troubleshooting here. :)

More clarification with you. Does your Vista with SP1, SP2 or not?

Please use Verification Tool to verify .Net Framework 2.0 and 3.0. If .Net Framework 2.0 and 3.0 cannot be verified on your computer, you can try to follow the steps mentioned in the following blog to repair the .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0 on Windows Vista.
    See: http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2007/03/26/how-to-repair-the-net-framework-2-0-and-3-0-on-windows-vista.aspx

    Thanks
