How to generate complete memory dump file for CRASH - Display Stress 4-hour WDDM Profile (64bit) Test? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running Crash test in test systems. I got many BSOD during the test, however, my test systems (Win 10 Pro) cannot generate full memory file and can only get mini-dump files which do not have enough information to debug the driver.  Does anyone know how can I modify the crash test or change the setting of test systems to generate the full memory file?

  • Hopefully a full memory dump will help you out. You can change settings in the control panel using the following steps:

    1. Open Control Panel
    2. (You may need to change the view to Large icons) Open "System"
    3. Click on "Advanced system settings" on the left side navigation pane
    4. On the system properties window, go to the Advanced tab
    5. Under startup and recovery, choose Settings...
    6. Under Write debugging information you will see multiple options.  Choose Complete Memory Dump and click on Ok.
