Proxy classes are not getting generated properly from VS2013. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm trying to add following URL

    https://www.aerlingus.com/OtaWS/services/AirLowFareSearchPortType.wsdl?

as service reference to our C# project in VS2013. But its not generating all the required classes and members even though the wsdl is valid and proper.

Seems like the VS ignoring <xs:attributeGroup>tags and <xs:enumeration> tags too.

When we use the same wsdl file with wsdl2java Axis utility it generates the classes properly.

Could anyone help me out in this issue?

    Thanks,

    Suresh

  • Can you identify exactly which element didn't come across?  I ran it and the enums came across.  Note that if they are never used in the WSDL (just defined) then they might not generate any code but beyond that they should come across in a format such that you can call them (which is what it is all about anyway).

  • You know you can just manually add code to the class it generates?

If you have the java definitions then I would imagine porting to c# ought to be reasonably easy.

    Hope that helps

  • Thanks Andy for the reply.

Yeah I knew that we can add the properties and classes in the proxy. But I want to know why VS2013 not able generate it properly. Is it a bug in wsdl utilities?
