  • You have to localize your app to that language. Once you will upload new package you will see new description.

  • Well, let's compare our apps:

    1) Language resources in solution explorer, one folder per language. Folder names should have two parts, if you are going add Arabic, it should not be just "ar".

    2) Package.appxmanifest

    3) When package is uploaded durig submission Dev Center should recognize supported languages:

    4) And it will automatically add one description per language:

  • You may try open generated .appxupload in any archiver and check AppxBundleManifest.xml within folder AppxMetadata within .appxbundle file. It should have string <Resource Language="{new language code}"/> If it has not, problem is somewhere within solution; if it has that string then probably it is dev center bug and you have to contact support.

  • Thank you for your reply.

    I do the following steps.

    1. I unzip the my XXX_1.1.0.0_AnyCPU.appxupload as per your instruction
    2. After unzipping, I found two file XXX_1.1.0.0_AnyCPU.appx and KAC_1.1.0.0_AnyCPU.appxsym. I again unzip aapx file
    3. There I found AppxManifest.xml not AppxBundleManifest.xml. When open  AppxManifest.xml file I found below
        <Resource Language="EN-US" />
        <Resource Language="AR-KW" />

  • Probably structure of our packages is different because of package name localization, I set "Package display name" at "Packaging" tab to ms-resource:{ResourceStringName} to localize app name in store and Visual Studio generates bundle of packages, one per language; your structure seems like one common package for all languages. Anyway, <Resource Language="" /> string is here and it seems like Visual Studio found new language, if you do not see new description when package is uploaded during submission it is most likely some issue with dev center and you  have to contact support at
