  • Hi LROC,

Thank you for posting in the MSDN Forum.

    I'm not quite sure about

deploy a .dotx file that will be functional without any kind of installation.

Do you mean that you want to get the template file directly with out make it into an install file?

Perhaps you could try steps below:

      • Suppose your project's name is WordTemplate1. After you opened your project folder you'll see a subfolder with the same name of your project folder. You need to open it.
      • After step 1, you'll need to open bin and then it's subfolder Debug.
      • In the foder Debug, you'll see a .dotx file named WordTemplate1 which is what you want.

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,
    Quist

  • Yes but when i separate the .dotx file from that folder it doesn't contain my tab (the one i added with the visual studio). So Word opens my template it works, but the tub I added along with my buttons are not there.

    Thank you !!!

  • Hi LROC,

According to my research, you'll need to install it before using it.

    Hope it helps.
