Default browser mode with IE10? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know I'm probably in the wrong forum, but could someone help me?

I'm running the Windows 8 Developer Preview, and I would like to make IE10's DEFAULT browser mode to be IE9. I can change it with F12, but it always goes back to IE10 browser mode when I restart the browser. Is there any way to make IE10 start up running with IE9 browser mode? thanks!

    3. click on "Default view for links"
    4. click on Yes for Do you want links opening in desktop?

  • I am not sure if you could install IE9 on Windows CTP or not.

If you want to change default browser, change this registry.

  • You cannot install Internet Explorer 9 in place of Internet Explorer 10 on Windows Developer Preview.
When trying to install, the system states, Internet Explorer 9 is already installed on this computer.
