BizTalk 2016 SharePoint Adapter Issue (Receiving Documents) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings,

We are planning on migrating to BizTalk 2016 but discovered an issue with the SharePoint adapter that is installed with BizTalk 2016. I spend quite a bit of time researching the web but did not come across anything that would solve the issue. There were some solutions but they applied to BT 2013 and were solved by a hotfix.

Currently we have BizTalk 2010 installed and are using SharePoint 2007 to upload and download documents via the SharePoint adapter. We installed BizTalk 2016 on a POC machine and used the same accounts that are used for the 2010 environment to rule out security issues. Turns out that we are able to upload documents to the document library in SP but we can’t download any files. What happens is that the receive location will mark the document as checked out and I see the following exception in the event logs on the BizTalk machine but the file is not downloaded to BizTalk.

The Messaging Engine received an error from transport adapter "Windows SharePoint Services" when notifying the adapter with the BatchComplete event. Reason "Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0C01620".

I configured the Adapter to use the Server Side Object Model (SSOM) since we are running SharePoint 2007 and it is working with the BizTalk 2010 adapters.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

    Thanks,
    Zoran

  • Hello Kamlesh,

    Thanks for the feedback!

I did install CU1 for BizTalk 2016 but that did not resolve the issue. We also setup a second machine and tried different user accounts but we always get the same behavior. Upload works but the download fails with the following message.

The Messaging Engine received an error from transport adapter "Windows SharePoint Services" when notifying the adapter with the BatchComplete event. Reason "Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0C01620".

Nothing has changed on SharePoint. Any other ideas what the issue could be?

    Thanks,
    Zoran

Were you able to find any work around.  We are facing exactly the same issue with BizTalk 2016 SharePoint Adapter.
