Send Push Notifications to specific users using Azure RRS feed

  • Hi

    I want to send Push notifications to specific set of users using their emailid/deviceid. How can we achieve this? I know we can use "Tags", but my question is without using tags. Does Notification Hub provide any of the features? Or whether we need to have another service for handling this. I am used to using Parse Push Notification in which we were able to send Push Notifications using emailid/user specific token. Is the same feature can be achieved without using a another service. Please suggest.

  • You found the solution: use tags.

    Code typically assigns an emailId/user specific token as a tag for the device registration. Then, the code sends a push including the identifier as a tag.

  • The best solution is to use tags. It's the simplest way to send push notifications to specific users.
