WCF-SQL adapter : is ordered delivery supported with polling ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to poll a database for records and I would like to process them in the same order the records exist in the database. I can do ordered delivery on send ports. My question is, when polling, are messages retrieved from DB in order and published to message box in order. I searched the documentation and I could not find any information related to this. All I could find are the adapters that support ordered delivery (MSMQ, etc) and others that do not (FILE, etc).

    At this link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa561360.aspx

    it says the following:

    WCF-Custom

Enables the use of WCF extensibility features.

    Yes.

    Yes.

Yes, as long as the binding supports it.

    Yes.

    BizTalk IP

For In-Order Receive support, it says "Yes, as long as the binding supports it.". I am not sure if this provides any clue regarding in-order receive support for polling using WCF-SQL adapter.

So, does polling support In-Order receive ???

    Thank you,

    Sumanth
