Can not find import function in DLL RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm using platform builder 5.0 to build my OS.At the time of "make runtime image" phase it is showing error. So, i'm not bale to get runtime image. The error is : "Error: Can't find import functionname in XXX.dll".

Can any one tell me what is the problem. Is it due to function is not defind is the DLL or something else??

    Please help.

If XXX.dll is a system DLL (like coredll) it can mean that a required
    component is missing.
If you will provide a more detailed error message you can receive a more
    detailed answer.

    HI Thanks for your reply.

FYI. XXX.DLL is not system dll.

  • Did you export the function from the DLL?  It would help if you give the actual error message.

  • You can "dumpbin /exports XXX.DLL" to double check if the function you are interested in is exported or not.
