Recognize if thousands separator is dot and dot is comma RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to write a code to recognize if the numbers in specific computer are using , instead of dot.

    For example I have conditional formatting syntax .FormatConditions.Add Type:=xlCellValue, Operator:=xlLess, Formula1:="=0.2"

    There are computers that the values in columns will display as 0,2 and some of them will display as 0.2

  • The decimal separator is

    Application.International(xlDecimalSeparator)

    Look up International in the Excel VBA help for the many other settings that you can retrieve through Application.International.
