Trying to install Microsoft .NET 4.0 and it isn't working RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've tried installing .NET Framework 4.0 a few times and after looking for a similar problem on the internet and finding none, I've come to this forum for some help.

The install failed because "The referenced assembly is not installed on your system."

Here is a section of the log that I hope is helpful.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
