WRL Class Library Project Template RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    I read WRL tutorial by

and cannot find WRL template in VS2015 Community. This item does not work for me:

In the Search online templates box in the upper right corner, type WRL Class Library. When the template appears in the search results, choose the OK button.

I don't see this template in the search list.

    Any ideas

    Me neither.

    Any ideas

Submit feedback to the MSDN page that incorrectly documents it so that
    MS hopefully fix the documentation.

Someone's got a sample under the Samples section: "A Simple Windows
Runtime Component using WRL" that notes the WRL Class Library is no
longer available, so maybe that fills the gap?

  • Hi Vicul,

If possible, please share the feedback link here so then mark that reply as an answer so it would be helpful for other members who get the same issue as yours to research and find the answer directly.

And I will help vote it. Thanks in advance.

    Best Regards,

  • I am afraid I found the second non-working sample from WRL:

    see their 9 item.

By the way, I did not build this solution yet. Thing there will be many bugs too.

  • Hi Vicul,

I have gone through the link you offered. If you have the same issue when creating a Windows Store app using WRL and Media Foundation and make sure these issues were the bugs. I suggest you could submit the feedback to the Microsoft Connect feedback portal:

In addition, if you have some other building error, you could post a new thread to the C++forum for better support.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,
