Legitimate Recursive Iteration Workbook Persistance RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

Given that we would want Recursive Iteration to cause a value to converge after so many loops, I know that the iteration box needs to be checked under tools>options>calculation. This setting will be saved as the file itself is saved. But other workbooks can affect this setting depending of which workbook was opened first, or last, etc.

So the question: is there any way to cause the iteration-based workbook to persist, or to at least alert the user of that particular workbook that the file won't work now because for whatever reason the iteration box has become unchecked?

So as not to clutter the forum posts, I thank you in advance.
