  • The error may be occuring due to the IE settings on the computer or a missing certificate.  I'm not sure from your posting if the problem occuring in the client or server.  Did you start the service on the new server before tying your code?

Can you try from the client PC opening up an IE and attempting to connect to the URL of the server?  Any error messages or results that you get from the IE will be useful in isolating the problem.

The key to the problem is the following message from the exception : "The page you're trying to reach is unavailable".  This indicates that either the service is not running on the server or you don't have a route to the server from the client.  Occasionally this type error may indicate that the server is running in a secure mode and you need to provide a certificate or other type of sercure feature like a proxy server to get the connection to run.  I don't have enough information yet to figure out the exact cause of the problem.
