GetExtendedTcpTable returns error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I hope that this is the right place to ask.

    Why does the call:

    DWORD dwl_len = 0;                             /* length of IP table      */

    GetExtendedTcpTable( NULL , &dwl_len, FALSE, AF_INET6, TCP_TABLE_BASIC_CONNECTIONS, 0 );

    returns error 87 = “Invalid Parameter” ?

    The same Call with AF_INET instead of AF_INET6 works.

    System is a Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Any hints?

    Regards,

    Hans

    Thanks Hans

  • This isn't the proper forum for this question.

    The documentation is wrong. The valid tables for AF_INET6 are TCP_TABLE_OWNER_PID, TCP_TABLE_OWNER_PID_CONNECTIONS, TCP_TABLE_OWNER_PID_ALL, TCP_TABLE_OWNER_MODULE_LISTENER, TCP_TABLE_OWNER_MODULE_CONNECTIONS, TCP_TABLE_OWNER_MODULE_ALL.
