TFS 2008 Excel Bug RRS feed

Answers

  • Thanks Sean.

We have a recently discovered bug around how the TFS add-in interops with the Office Live add-in. We're working on a hotfix, but you may be able to work around this issue by uninstalling the Office live add-in.

    Hope that helps.

  • Hi Sean,
Can you verify some things for me?

       1. Is this working from excel?
           Steps:
           a. Open excel
           b. Check if there is a "team" tab in the ribbon
           c. Click the "team" tab, then click "create new list". Connect to your server, and project. etc.
       2. What version of apps do you havei nstalled
Versions and servicepacks of Office and Team Explorer/Team Foundation Server.

    Thanks.
    -Mareen.

  • Hey Mareen,
    1. Yes, it works fine from Excel
    2. Office 2007 SP1, VS 2008 SP1 with TFS 2008 SP1 (I think) and Team Explorer 2008 SP 1.

  • Sean - thanks for the info. This may be caused by how the TFS add-in interacts with some other installed add-ins : can you send me the list of Office add-ins that are installed on the box?

  • According to Excel, it's active add-ins are:

    Microsoft Office Live Add In
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Tools for Office Design-Time Adapter for Excel 2003
Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Tools for Office Design-Time Adapter for Excel 2007
    Office Genuine Advantage Add-in
    Send to Bluetooth
    Team Foundation Add-In
