Sharepoint Document Libraries RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have added a document library webpart to the homepage of my Sharepoint site - however how can I change it so when you click on a folder it takes you to that folders page rather than the folders contents displaying still in the webpart on the homepage?

    Many Thanks

  • Hi,

I tried this in my testing environment and it worked.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

    1. Add the library as a webpart in the page.

    2. Open the page in SPD.

    3. right click the webpart and select convert to XSLT.

    4. Now select the name and change its format from text to hyperlink.

    5. Point it to the folder where you want it to take you.

    6. Check in the page, I hope this will help you out.

    Thanks, Rahul Rashu

  • Any ideas with this - I have done this before in sharepoint 2003 itself without the need to go into Sharepoint Designer

  • You've been away a long time.

I presume you are saying that the reply in this thread didn't help you - or?  Pity you didn't say so at the time it was posted in October 2011.
