IChannelCredentials, COM, and JScript RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am trying to consume my service through a typed COM moniker using UserName for authentication.

    All the client code is written in JScript, not VBScript.

    I followed the example from:

    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.servicemodel.comintegration.ichannelcredentials.aspx

    But it doesn't work in JScript.

    The line:

    proxy.ChannelCredentials.SetUserNameCredential("sdsdfds", "sdfsdfsd");

    gives me an error: 'Object doesn't support this property or method'

    Does the IChannelCredentials interface work from JScript?

    I tried the VBScript version and that works, but I can't use VBScript for my application.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

  • Hello Mark,

    Unfortunately the IChannelCredentials interface does not work from JScript due to the way JScript interacts with COM.
