Pagination

Question
-
Hi:
We have around 2000 documents/items in a document library/project task list. Our users wanted pagination functionality; displaying documents/items. They are aware of the page# on which can locate the item; hence should be able to reach to desired page directly instead of traversing pages one by one.
Appreciate help on implementing this.

try to think out a solution just like SharePoint search results.
Microsoft have several webpart to display search results, like pagination wbepart, result webpart, and other webpart.
so my suggestion is you can develop and webpart and add it under the library and using SPquery to do the pagination.
thanks.

Hi Deepak,
Pagination is automatically set to 100 items in the default view for both document libraries and lists, and as far as I know, in any new view that's created too. You can edit this to be as much or as little as needed in the view configuration screens.
Hope that helps

Hi Steven:
Thanks for response. Requirement is not to increase/decrease the number of documents displayed in a view; but to display page numbers - so that user can directly jump to a page instead of navigating 100 items every time to reach on the desired document.
Hope this clarifies my query.
